Natalie Lavigne
President

After 18 years in the field of communication and public relations in the private and public sectors, Natalie decided to focus her work on sustainable development consulting and communication. That decision was based on her conviction that her skill set and experience as an award-winning communicator could greatly benefit organizations embarking on the road toward corporate social responsibility or sustainability.

Natalie has held manager and director positions for various institutions, including multi-nationals, Crown corporations, post-secondary institutions, and government. She has a deep understanding of corporate cultures and organizational inner workings. Over the years, she has accumulated numerous best practices and creative ideas that she wants to share with organizations that are ready to move their environmental, social and economic agendas forward.

Natalie is known for being perfectly at ease in French or English, and for her fluency of Spanish.

An accredited member of the International Association of Business Communicators since 2006, Natalie is also a member of the International Society of Sustainability Professions (ISSP). She is currently completing graduate studies in eco-advising at the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi.

Sarah H. Dehler
Communications and Engagement Strategist

Following more than 13 years as a high technology public relations and communications professional, Sarah is now applying her expertise to organizations ready to initiate and advance their focus to sustainability. Sarah possesses an outstanding ability to identify key opportunities for effective communications and stakeholder engagement programs that accelerate sustainability objectives within institutions, corporations and communities.

Sarah’s communications and stakeholder engagement program development expertise spans a wide range of mediums and includes public awareness, product and service marketing, corporate communications and public relations campaigns. Well-versed in the corporate world, Sarah has a keen understanding of the many issues facing organizations as they evolve their bottom line focus to include environmental and social performance indicators.

Sarah’s strengths in communications are complemented by technical competency in clean energy project feasibility analysis, strategy development, analytical thinking, detail-oriented project management, consensus building, training and group facilitation. In her personal life, Sarah demonstrates her passion for a healthy natural environment through initiating community-level programs such as ecology stabilization, environmental education, renewable energy advocacy, as well as residential and institutional waste reduction. Sarah is also a member of the International Society of Sustainability Professionals (ISSP).

Edouard Biot
Adviser

Édouard Biot is one of ecoverde’s founders and an entrepreneur at heart. Before orienting his consulting business toward sustainable development, he worked for many years as a successful consultant and adviser, trainer and communicator.

Born in Belgium, Édouard chose Canada as his adopted country in 1985. Almost immediately, he earned an enviable reputation as a visionary and strong strategic thinker and planner. It was while researching and working in the fields of education, health, tourism, and economic, heritage and cultural development that Édouard discovered a passion for sustainable development, which he yearns to share with other leaders. His strong belief that one needs to “do the right thing” guides him in his work as a consultant.

In addition to his outstanding creativity and ability to see the big picture, Édouard's strengths include project development, project management, strategic planning and training.
